PUBLIC SPACE : Research, observation and collaboration in public space / / interventions (or urban frictions )

The workshop’s public programme opens with three Artists Talks, organised in three afternoons. Resident curator Beatriz Lemos conceived these talks as a platform linking the participant artists’ artists research and some relevant questions concerning their artistic processes, seeking collaborative dynamics in our societies. The subjects of each conversation suggest topics of interest and reflection, identified within the set of works and projects submitted by the artists to the residency. Thus, artists and guest moderators were asked to develop challenging discussions between each topic and their own body of work.

Como parte do programa público de OFFLINE, três comunicações foram propostas como dispositivos entre as pesquisas dos artistas participantes e questões pertinentes nos processos artísticos que pretendem dinâmicas colaborativas em sociedade. As questões lançadas como mesas de debates sugerem focos de interesse e reflexão, identificados no conjunto de obras e projectos apresentados para a residência. Deste modo, artistas e moderadores convidados foram chamados a compor encontros provocativos entre suas produções e tais questões.
