Eugénia MUSSA (b. Maputo, 1978)

Mussa began her studies in fine arts at City & Islington College in London and graduated in Painting at Ar.Co in 2009. In the same year she was a finalist for the Prix Anteciparte. In 2010 Eugenia Mussa received an Honorable Mention in the Commemorative Exhibition the 25th anniversary of the Bank of Mozambique. In her art practice there’s a constant concern for creating series of works strongly consistent with the history of art movements in painting. Currently she lives in Lisbon exhibiting regularly in various galleries. This year she had a solo exhibition at Espaço Arte Tranquilidade and exhibited at the renowned art gallery Joao Esteves Oliveira in Lisbon.

Mussa, Licenciada em Belas Artes pela Universidade  City & Islington College de Londres e curso realizado na  Ar.Co in 2009, em Lisboa. No mesmo ano é finalista do prémio Anteciparte. Em 2010 a artista  recebe pelo seu trabalho  uma menção honrosa atribuída nos 25 Anos Comemorativos do Banco de Moçambique. Na sua pratica artística podemos encontrar uma preocupação constante com o repensar a historia dos movimentos artísticos da pintura  Actualmente vive em Lisboa e onde expõe regularmente em várias galerias e espaços . Presentemente tem uma exposição no  Espaço Arte Tranquilidade e na nova galeria de João Esteves Oliveira também em Lisboa.
